I play, record and teach the drums, I write and arrange music and I think, feel and experience.
Music explores a level of communication language cannot reach. This aspect is the reason why I do what I do. Also, it is a lot of fun!
The Band
Besides playing in collectives and working as a sideman, I lead my own band. The focus lies on celebrating the tradition and heritage of Jazz, more precisely the BeBop-idiom.
Celebrating the tradition means celebrating its values - respect, community, spontaneity, multi-culturality and empathy - values that extend far beyond the realm of music.
